Artist Statement

“Here in the Fraser Valley, we live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is such a rich and diverse area, from the mountains and lakes to the rivers and forests around us. There is always something to inspire me to want to pick up my brushes and create art.

This is my home.
This is my community.
I feel deeply rooted here,
and that is what inspires me.

I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it.”

Artist Bio

“I have always been a maker as long as I can remember.
From the days of my childhood making all sorts of crafts, and as I got older I made clothes for my dolls and then clothes for myself. Later when I had small children, I had a line of handmade children hats and purses sold at a local boutique.
I have experimented with pottery, having taken many classes, as well as glass fusing, stained glass and making glass beads.
I set aside painting from when I was a teenager till my kids were a bit older and had a bit more free time.
Now I paint as much as I can, and teach painting classes at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.
Currently, my art is being displayed in the form of a few murals and in a few business in Chilliwack.”
