waves of water crashing at sea painting, main title: Water Water Everywhere, subtitle: Fraser Valley Artists Society, From September 5th - September 26th.

Water Water Everywhere Exhibition

Exhibition Dates: September 5th – 26th 2026

Water Water Everywhere invites viewers to consider water as both presence and paradox: abundant yet fragile, ordinary yet elemental. Water is everywhere. Water is not just in the rivers or lakes or oceans. Water is in the air and the earth, in our bodies, in our tears.

Through works that evoke flow, reflection, immersion, scarcity, and change, this exhibition explores the ways water shapes landscapes, bodies, memories, and futures. The show asks us to look again at the substance that surrounds us, sustains us, and increasingly demands our attention.

Water is a living force. Water is life.

The Fraser Valley Artists Society (FVAS is a long time member of the Abbotsford and Mission Arts Councils.

The FVAS meets every second week to paint and support each other in our painting endeavours. We have a major show of our work yearly, at the Clearbrook Library. We also exhibit at the Kariton Gallery and have exhibited at the Mission Art Centre, Chilliwack Cultural Centre, Langley Centennial Museum, Surrey Art Gallery, and the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium.

The FVAS, formerly the FV Watermedia Society, has been meeting since 1983. Our mission statement: “The Fraser Valley Watermedia Society is dedicated to the enrichment, excellence, mutual support and encouragement of its members and to the advocacy and support of the arts in Abbotsford.”
