Artist Statement:
Holly’s current work is influenced by the pandemic. Staying in and reflecting on the little things such as a sweet treat like “Vegan donut”. With this oil painted donut still life she is focusing and elevating the mundane. Bright cheery colours are used to bring a little joy and fun into these dark times.

Artist Bio:
Holly Laturnus is a mixed media artist currently living in Surrey BC. She graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 2012 as a painting major. She currently enjoys making jewellery (sterling silver, gems or minerals) as well as oil and acrylic painting.
