Artist Statement
It seems we all struggle with something. My journey is no different. Suffering with chronic pain and depression my life had so much hopelessness. With nowhere to go but up, my perspective changed. Every day is a gift, every experience a miracle. I’m not saying that every day is unicorn farts and puppy kisses, it most certainly isn’t. My work reveals that there can be enjoyment with pain, a light moment in a dark day. I hope you take the joy of rain on your face, the whisper of wind in your hair and leave the pain where it is, on canvas.

Artist Bio
Shannon Vanderlinde comes from a background in jewelry art. When Covid hit she dusted off her paint brushes and started learning in watercolour with her Father on zoom. Remembering how much art is in her heart she reconnected with acrylic medium. Painting has reformed again into the greatest form of communication. This artist hopes to inspire chronic pain sufferers and everyone else to use art as medium to elevate their mental health.
