Artist Statement

Along the way in my life’s journey I have discovered through drawing sketches, watercolour, watermedia, and acrylics, an awareness of the excitement and joy I feel when creating images and responses through personal experiences and emotional responses together with landscape surroundings. It is an integral part of my creative process. In awe, I am captivated by the unique moments in time and the beauty of our vast and varying landscapes.

For the viewer, my desire is to visually grasp the experience, hang on to, and inspire a response through spectacular and ordinary images, colours, and designs that surround us every day.

Artist Bio

Self-taught in sketching and painting with a strong interest in history, archaeology and art, I studied watercolour in later years under the tutelage of the late Elsie Grace, college of the Desert Hall of fame teacher, and the late Jack Rowe, a member of the National Academy of Design and Sigature member of Warercolour West, in La Quinta, Ca.
