Road to Recovery

The Downie Wenjack Legacy Space at the Kariton Gallery is proud to present Road to Recovery, a solo exhibition showcasing the abstract works of Will Sereda. This exhibition will be held both in person and online from November 24-December 23, 2022.

About the artist:
William Sereda is an Indigenous artist from Yale First Nation and began creating art in order to connect with his culture and overcome addiction. His paintings allow him to connect to the land as the landscapes around him provide abstract ideas which he uses as inspiration. Through painting, it allows him to form a stronger relationship with his community while sharing his teachings. He discovered his passion for painting while attending treatment, and it has become an integral part of living a fulfilling life and aiding in his sobriety. He hopes that through sharing his story, he may be able to help others who are struggling.
