Artist Statement

These photographs are from Courtney’s nature series. The pandemic has allowed for Courtney to explore picture taking. She has been getting outside and enjoying all the nature that BC has to offer. Courtney hopes that these pictures represent the awe inspiring beauty of BCs landscape.

Artist Biography

Courtney Mienkina is a local teacher and artist. She studied and earned her B.F.A. at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Deciding to become a teacher she then went to SFU to complete her B.E.D. Courtney has participated in numerous community shows. She likes to work in a variety of mediums, painting, photography, printmaking and ceramics.
