Artist Statement:

Two similar figures standing across each other, suggesting a symbiotic relationship in a placid, natural environment. I created this work to symbolize the reflection of the tensions that exist for
individuals who navigate their identities in cross-cultural contexts. Though tension and conflict are inevitable in these experiences, I wanted to capture the brief moment of respite.
