Artist Statement

As an artist, arborist, and master Gardener; experiencing the fullness of being immersed in the environment lead me to create multi-sensory socially engaged collaborative installations. These diverse art practices enable me to engage various publics and communities to educate and invite engagement. Questions evolve surrounding the relationship with landscape, language, and the interconnectedness of all. These questions fuel my art practice. Answers arise through art.

Artist Bio

Tracie Stewart resides in the Fraser Valley. Her daily practice as an artist, arborist, and master Gardener; experiencing the fullness of being immersed leads Tracie to create multi-sensory socially engaged collaborative installations. Sharing stories with the award winning group Artists Rendering Tales Collective Inc has supported her exploration of language/ landscape relationships with art science and culture.
