Stranger Days is a portrait series made in response to community connection during the Covid-19 pandemic. Created during the Summer of 2020, Go Play Outside artist-in-residence Luke Pardy set out to capture the reconnection of the citizens of Abbotsford. The exhibition can be viewed in full online and seen in public spaces around Abbotsford, including the Kariton Art Gallery windows, MCA windows and six bus shelters. Artist Biography – Luke Pardy  

Luke Pardy is a photo based artist currently living and working in the so-called Fraser Valley, where he is currently finishing his BFA. His work focuses on how local, social, and personal histories manifest themselves in mundane contemporary existence. He works primarily with large and medium format film combined with digital post-production, allowing for a wide range of display and distribution methods. He has been the recipient of multiple scholarships including one from the University of Fraser Valley and FotoFilmic. His current projects examine the legacy of masculinity in the Canadian west, living with grief, and community connection in the age of Covid-19.
