Artist Statement

KRS pieces are made with organic cotton cord, wooden beads and a wooden dowel. These elements create a grounding piece of art that brings intrigue, fresh liffe and joy to a space. I not only create full organic off white collections, but have introduced many new colours and explored pairing unique colour combinations in mt newer collections. For example: the Spring Statement Collection, Sweet or Salty Collection and Dreamland Collection. A brand new Collection will be released Spring 2023.

Artist Bio

Kelsy Renee Schumacher is a self taught artist residing in Abbotsford, BC. Expressing herself through art has always been something she’s naturally done. Kelsy grew up sketching, creating collages, taking photos, making hemp jewlery, she dabbled in water colours and took Acrylics 101 at U of S where her final was one of the chosen to be shown in the university gallery for a 3 month term. She turned to fibre art as a new way of expressing herself. She’s been honing her fibre art style, developing her own voice/brand and scaling her small business for 5+ years now.

KRS mission is that each uniquely designed fibre art piece would bring unexpected interest and joy to its collector and exude a grounded depth to the atmosphere.
