Artist Statement:
The forest is a sanctuary of dappled light and leafy silence. This painting is as much about the beauty of the light in the leaves as it is the cool quiet depths, the places we only see when we stop to notice them.

Artist Bio:
Laura Lim is an oil painter who lives in Maple Ridge, BC. Her love of nature and creativity drove her to pursue a career in fine art after working in marketing for ten years. Her artwork explores the peace and slowness of time felt in nature, and she is endlessly inspired by the beauty of the West Coast.
