“Rachel and Ted”, a Fraser Valley based Vocal and Guitar duo, will have you reminiscing to romantic ballads + tapping your toes to upbeat swingy favourites. Rachel’s classic voice & versatile range, and Edward’s strong guitar skills & background vocals in music spanning the swing era – modern day.
For this online show they will mainly be performing a collection of classic tunes that bring back the likes of Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Julie London and Ella Fitzgerald, plus the odd classic country song.
Rachel graduated with a B.Mus. from UBC concentrating mainly on opera, as well as singing jazz and swing. She performed in Canada and the Czech Republic as a coloratura soprano in operas, has sang with Swing/jazz ensembles, various bands, and done recording for composers. Ted played the bar circuit professionally in the 70s, He has played and recorded with multiple groups, played bass in Brampton Ontario with the Hot Club de Brampton a gypsy jazz trio, and in the big band, Chinguacousy Swing Orchestra.
