Artist Statement:
Women indulge in preserving their youth, with a growing fear our their expiration date. Men are seen as the opposite; they are allowed to age and are perfect at any age. Raspberries are soft, feminine, youthful and easily compared to a woman. Yet they have a quick turnover. This piece is heavily Inspired by the song Liquid Smooth by Mitski as she talks of being in her prime.
