Artist Statement: 

Yvonne is inspired by all that is BC outdoors: the west coast, islands and forests, valleys and mountains, people and places. Using a limited watercolour palette Yvonne tries to capture the lights and darks, textures and spirit of places she has visited while kayaking over the last 18 years.

Artist Bio:

As an artist Yvonne has no formal training, only a passion to capture and recreate the feel of a beautiful place visited in her kayak. Techniques learned at workshops and gleaned from YouTube and local artist friends in FVWMS have helped her develop as an artist over the last six years.
Yvonne works as a nurse in Abbotsford and lives in Chilliwack with her husband Peter and 3 cats.
