Boyhood - Luke Pardy

Inkjet print from 4×5 negative
11×14
$100 unframed, $150 framed

My work Boyhood investigates the way we raise and socialize boys from a young age. Conversations around ‘toxic masculinity’ have come into the forefront of cultural conversation in recent year, and I believe that to change our perspectives on gender and it’s social value, we need to evaluate how we raise children. This is my perspective as a queer person who has felt the pressures of masculine social values.
