Artist Statement

I love to capture the beauty and variety of the world around me, I hope to help everyone become more aware of the simple beauty around them, to appreciate it enough to care, to stop dropping garbage, trampling wildflowers, destroying bird nesting places or wetlands … so many small things we can each do to protect this beautiful world.

Artist Biography

Ruby Jaggernath has enjoyed photography for over 50 years. She got a Brownie camera as a grade eight graduation gift, and took fun and family photos for a few years. Eventually, she taught herself to use a single lens reflex film camera so she could take better pictures to complement articles which she wrote for various trade magazines.

Although she has sold several of her images in past years, she is always trying to improve her work. During this COVID epidemic she has spent many hours learning to use computerized photo programs more effectively and finds she enjoys enhancing the images she gets with her Nikon.
