Artist Statement:
Saturday evening was often family movie time.  My Dad loved taking “moving pictures” with his camera in the 1960’s.  Mostly moving trains but family was a great subject also.  We have preserved these memories on a disc now. Thanks Dad!!!

Artist Bio:
I was born and raised in southern Ontario but spent many years in Calgary and now Abbotsford, BC Canada, which has been our family home for the last 16 years.

As a professional social worker, I have also worked in many other fields including fashion design and home décor, manufacturing. And as executive director of two Fraser Valley non-profit organizations. As an artist, I am self trained, with no formal training. I continue to take on-line courses and find my way.

With a deep yearning to be creative and having put my career on hold while devoting time to my two daughters, the COVID lockdown in February 2020 provided me with time to pursue a practice in art. Having watched my mother create amazing watercolour paintings in her retirement has been a strong model to fashioning my coming days.

I really love creating abstract art! It is this artform where I can use my imagination to portray a visual expression of my deepest feelings and emotions. I find it healing and therapeutic. I love shapes and in particular circles and at times get so engrossed in my art that time flies by.
