Artist Statement: We were created in the image of God and as such, creativity is inherent in our being. My paintings attempt to reflect a poetic response to the splendour of our landscape rather than a literal rendering of what I see.

Artist Bio: I was born, raised, married, had a family, made a living, and retired, all within Greater Vancouver, and all without giving creative expression on a canvas. A simple uninformed appreciation for original paintings, however, was always part of my life. It wasn’t until I went blind in one eye that I felt the allure of painting as a way of expressing gratitude for the sight that I still possess. Acrylic painting has been an important part of my life since 2018, as it is a celebration of sight and touch.
