You bring the expertise — we handle the logistics. As the workshop host, you set your own ticket price and minimum number of participants. The Abbotsford Arts Council will manage registration and retain a 30% commission on ticket sales.

We’ll also support you with marketing: a custom promotional graphic created from your photos, a listing on our website, and a mention in our newsletter. Any additional promotion beyond that is at the artist’s discretion.

What we’re looking for

There are no restrictions on medium or subject matter — proposals from emerging and established artists are equally welcome. Some examples of what might fit:

• Studio & visual arts — eg. printmaking, photography, illustration, life drawing, painting, mixed media
• Writing & literary arts — eg. creative writing, poetry, journaling, zine-making
• Business & professional skills — eg. marketing for artists, promotion & social media, pricing your work, grant writing
