Summer Art Challenge

Are you up for a challenge? Register to join us on Saturday, June 7th for our Summer Art Challenge: create a finished artwork in three hours using only the supplies provided. The finished works will be displayed at the Kariton Art Gallery from June 14 – 28, 2025.

An Opening Reception for the exhibition will be held on June 14, 2025 from 12-2pm. Refreshments provided.

Participating artists will have the option of selling their created works throughout the exhibition. If the work is sold during the exhibition, the artist will receive 70% of the sale price, with the remaining commission going to the Kariton Art Gallery.

Challenge Date & Time: 11:00am-2:30pm, June 7, 2025

Cost: By donation

Supplies:
The Kariton Art Gallery will provide a canvas (multiple sizes will be available – come early to secure your preferred choice) and a cornucopia of mixed media goodies to create your masterpiece.

Artists must use the supplies provided, but are allowed/encouraged to bring their own:

  • Paintbrushes suitable for acrylic paint (we will have some basic brushes on hand, but you may prefer your own for quality.)

  • An apron or smock!

Registration will be capped at 30 participants. Any registrations received after the maximum has been reached will be added to a wait list.

Check in time is 11:00am on June 7, 2025 at the Kariton Art Gallery.

*Please note: if you have not checked in and collected your canvas by 11:20am on June 7, your spot will be given to a waitlisted/drop-in participant.
