This whimsical lino block print was created as a reminder that we are all in this pandemic together. Whether we have a special person in our life or an online community that we can connect with, we are not alone.
Personal Artist Statement:
Courtney Mienkina is a local teacher and artist. She studied and earned her B.F.A. at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Deciding to become a teacher she then went to SFU to complete her B.E.D. Courtney has participated in the Community Banner Project. She exhibited her work at the June 2019 Wine and Art Walk, The Purple Light Night Project, Kariton Christmas and Women In Art.
Experience in Quarantine:
Courtney has spent her time in self isolation going for lots of long walks around Abbotsford. Some of her favourite sports include Mill Lake and the Matsqui Trail. She is also trying to learn how to embroider and crochet. Most importantly, she is spending time with her family.
