Artist Statement:
Exhaustion of a Renaissance Man is a portrait of my father. The light is shining on my subject’s head, signifying the hope that there is more to life than the mundane tasks we bury ourselves
in everyday. Done in graphite and charcoal, this piece took me over 90 hours to complete; a lesson in patience and perseverance that I learned from the subject himself. With this piece, I say long live the average citizen-your sweat will not be forgotten.
Artist Bio
Art has been my passion since a young age. I am thankful to have been raised in a family that recognized my desire to pursue art and supported me with lessons to help my artistic ability to bloom. I have taken private lessons in watercolour since I was very young, and have also had the opportunity to take a course on hyperrealistic drawing under a traditional art master. I have lived in Abbotsford, British Columbia my entire life, and have been involved in the artistic community as an art instructor. I am now pursuing a career in tattooing. My other passions include literature, sciences and travelling. Art has always been the most influential part of my life and I am excited to continue to pursue an artistic career and lifestyle.
