Artist Statement

Creativity runs deeper than a hobby or desire to create. It is an innate longing for communication and understanding; while attempting to explore a deep mystery.

Inspiration comes from many aspects, such as nature, poetry and music, and out of these many influences comes a personal worldview that is reflected in not only the artist’s creation but also the audience’s interpretation of the work. Dedication to art is an act of respect and honour to the old masters who paved the way for artists like me.

In today’s world, we stray deeper away from the traditional way of art, and the
dedicated patience that was once common is now a rarity. My collective work is a revival of traditionalism, a modern longing for times past.

Artist Bio

Art has been my passion since a young age. I am thankful to have been raised in a family that recognized my desire to pursue art and supported me with lessons to help my artistic ability to bloom. I have taken private lessons in watercolour since I was very young, and have also had the opportunity to take a course on hyperrealistic drawing under a traditional art master. I have lived in Abbotsford, British Columbia my entire life, and have been involved in the artistic community as an art instructor. I am now pursuing a career in tattooing. My other passions include literature, sciences and travelling. Art has always been the most influential part of my life and I am excited to continue to pursue an artistic career and lifestyle.
