What being a member of the Abbotsford Arts Council can do for you!

The Abbotsford Arts Council was created to develop and enhance the arts in the Abbotsford community. Our membership reflects the diverse artistic, economic, political, and cultural interests of community members of all ages.

Benefits of Individual Membership - $15/year

  • Exhibition opportunities to show and sell art in the Kariton Art Gallery & Boutique. 
  • Performance opportunities like the Envision Concert Series. Please call for specific membership requirements for any events that arise for which you would like to apply.
  • Access to arts information and the opportunity to display information about local arts and culture events on our Facebook Page and in the Resource Room at the Kariton Art Gallery. The Abbotsford Arts Council often displays these materials when participating in community outreach activities as well.
  • Discounts on admission to selected workshops, including our Art of Marketing Series.
  • "Eye on the Arts" monthly e-newsletter.
  • Notice of upcoming performances, workshops, gallery exhibits, openings and calls for artists by email.
  • Voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting of the Abbotsford Arts Council.

Benefits of Group Membership - $25/year

Arts, culture, and community member groups and businesses are eligible to receive:

  • Opportunities to show and sell art in the Kariton Art Gallery & Boutique as a group.
  • Opportunities for groups to give live performances, such as those in the Envision Concert Series. 
  • Online Member Group Directory listing including web link, driving traffic to your group's website while increasing your visibility in the community.
  • Free use of the Kariton Art Gallery after gallery hours for one meeting, class or rehearsal per month (subject to availability). 
  • Participation in the Abbotsford Arts Council 's Group Liability Insurance Program, created to provide community groups with affordable liability insurance. Contact us to determine whether your group is eligible for the program.
  • Access to arts information and the opportunity to display information about group events on our Facebook Page and in the Resource Room at the Kariton Art Gallery. The Abbotsford Arts Council often displays these materials when participating in community outreach activities as well.
  • One representative voice or vote at the Annual General Meeting of the Abbotsford Arts Council.
